Thai food as a cuisine has become a welcome addition to the Asian cuisine scene in New Zealand. The delicate aromas floating forth from Thai Village Restaurant are enough to make customers venture from the busy retail centre down through the lush foliage of the village green to the restaurant nestled in a cosy nook.

The Thai Village was the first Thai restaurant in Remuera when it was established on 29 March 1996 and is currently owned and operated by Tharnthip Kumjumpol, who has been working hard to ensure delicious Thai cuisine is served in a pleasant atmosphere, and with a famous Thai smile. The Thai Village's philosophy is simple - stay true to the enchanting flavours and secrets of Thai cuisine using fresh natural herbs and produce New Zealand has to offer. With this in mind, Thai Village Restaurant has a myriad of tantalising dishes on its menu - deriving inspiration and authenticity from many regions within Thailand.

If you're looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience in Auckland, I highly recommend trying the flaming chicken at Thai Village Restaurant. My wife and I recently had dinner there and were blown away by the succulent and juicy chicken, perfectly seasoned with a blend of spices and served with a mesmerizing flame.

Amazing Thai Food

We have been going to the Thai Village since it opened in 1996 and are still going in 2022. The food is always amazing, the staff are attentive and knowledgeable and really look after their customers. There have been many changes since they first opened and the latest upgrade is the best yet with an outside eating area. We highly recommend this restaurant and in our minds this is the best Thai food in New Zealand.
